Reproduction Consultation/Analysis
We like to take a thorough veterinary history, perform a physical exam, and discuss expectations. From there we will perform semen collection and analysis, which allow us to determine the viability, motility, and ultimately the breeding doses of semen produced by your stud. Overall, we want to make sure the semen will be stable enough for the freezing and thawing processes at our Zoetis Freeze Center.
Stud's Registration Certificate (Copy)
Photo Identification, Microchip Number, and/or Tattoo ID of Stud
Stud's AKC DNA Profile (Copy)
DNA Profiling is required for stud dogs whose semen is collected for fresh-extended or frozen use. AKC DNA Profiling is also required for Frequently Used Sires, effective for litters whelped on or after July 1, 2000, and for imported breeding stock registered on or after March 1, 2006. If unknown parentage is indicated via DNA testing, the status of the registration will be downgraded to “conditional” until a three-generation pedigree is established. *AKC DNA Profile Program
